About Jay.

S. Jay tomioka is making artistry through light and magic.

Jay was born into a multicultural family of world traveling peace activists, and has been moving from place to place ever since.  His artwork reflects the cultures he grew up with, recapturing Japanese myth ad modern western innovation through imagery and imagination.

Jay believes that each person and each culture contains the duality of both uniqueness and universality.

Jay holds a Master of Fine Arts in Digital Printmaking and Photography from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  He did his post-graduate work in Tokyo, Japan.
